Maximizing Incentives & Rebates

Building Energy Computer Modeling

The engineers at Controlled Air, Inc. are able to create computer models of buildings to simulate requirements for energy based on weather and occupancy. Using different lighting and HVAC components in the model, we can determine which combination of products is the most cost-efficient to operate. Running simulations with various equipment, we can determine baselines according to code requirements and then try higher efficiency systems. Utilities will pay the incremental cost from a standard system to higher efficiency systems. We then compare operating costs and installation costs for maximum efficiency and incentives. Our computer models are based on the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE-2) standards.
