Sharon Hospital Pharmacy upgrades required compliance with state and federal regulations for air flow, pressure and humidity. As any pharmacy must be a cleanroom as defined in ISO standard 14644, “a room in which the concentration of airborne particles is controlled, and which is constructed and used in a manner to minimize the introduction, generation, and retention of particles inside the room, an din which other relevant parameters, e.g. temperature, humidity, and pressure, are controlled as necessary.”

We removed the existing RTU system and installed new AAON RTU with registers, grills and diffusers, and a controls system. We also installed a roof mounted exhaust fan and additional ductwork.

The project included upgrades to existing Johnson Controls System. The controls have specific requirements for air flow and exhaust as well as room pressure levels.
